Hannah is a private detective who is trying to identify a man who is responsible for a number of home invasions, leaving his victims bound and gagged in his wake. She is calling on the help of Autumn Bodell, a bank clerk who once fell victim to the invader, to gather more information. As the call winds up, someone knocks on the office door and an unsuspecting Hannah calls out: "Come in." Autumn has agreed to meet at Hannah's office and the latter ends the call, only to find herself confronted by a masked man. It is evidently the invader himself, and he is there to warn off Hannah from looking into his activities too closely. Unable to resist, Hannah must allow him to tie her up. She ends up on the floor, hogtied, gagged and blindfolded, warned to let her investigation go, for her own good. Hannah struggles against her bonds but she can’t free herself. Luckily for her, Autumn turned up at the appointed time and frees her, describing as she unties the girl what happened to her and a friend just a few months earlier.
