Monica is arriving home when she is grabbed by a stranger and dragged into her home. She finds herself secured with duct tape, pinning her arms to her body and her legs together. She objects vehemently to this treatment which earns her a tape gag to shut her up. Left alone, and not actually secured to the chair she is sitting on, Monica spots her phone on a seat across the room. She drops onto her knees and tries to work her way across the floor, but she loses her balance and is unable to get back up. She finishes the journey on her side, realizing when she arrives at the seat that she cannot reach up to get the phone. She uses her feet to knock it onto the floor, and tries to punch in her security code to unlock it. In her panic, she enters the wrong number, and before she has the chance to try again, her captor spots what she is up to and takes the phone away. To prevent her moving around the room again, he decides to tape her her to the chair, reducing Monica's chances of getting help to zero.
