Niki is a thief who has broken into a house with intent to steal jewellery or anything she can find of value. What she does not realize is that the owner is at home. She is captured and finds that someone has tied her up. She is not aware that anyone is in the room with her at first, but then a male voice speaks. He says he has restrained her with a view to calling in the cops. However, he seems in no particular hurry to involve the authorities, and it soon becomes clear that he enjoys seeing Niki tied up and helpless. Worried that some of the ropes binding her are too loose, he adds more, tightening the bonds around her legs so that she can't straighten her knees. Niki begs him not to call the police but to just let her go; after all, she has not actually taken anything. The man decides it would be a better idea to gag her and keep hold of her for a while. Only now does Niki realize the trouble she is actually in.
