Desiree is an investigative journalist who has been hounding Dave for quite some time, photographing him everywhere he goes, trying to reveal any wrong-doing to create a great story. When Dave sees her taking photographs of him as he arrives home, he climbed from his vehicle, grabs her camera and throws it to the ground, then grabs her, dragging her into the house, saying, "If you won't leave me alone, then I have to take steps to stop you." Inside, he ties Desiree to a chair with plenty of rope, pulling it tight and tying it off with plenty of knots. Desiree keeps trying to convince him that he colleagues know where she is and that he is in so much trouble, but Dave is past caring. He gags the girl and leaves her there to struggle helplessly, stuck in the middle of a narrow corridor with nowhere to go.
