Sinn Sage is a parole officer who calls at the home of one of her parolees because he has missed two meetings with her. She says she doesn't want to notify the police and send him back to jail, but if he won't comply with the conditions of his parole she will have no choice in the matter. He says he must stay at liberty because of an important job he has to do. The parole officer suspects it is something criminal and producers her phone to call the police. The parolee leaves the room and comes back with a handful of ropes. He grabs the phone and ties her up, keeping her prisoner so that she can't alert the authorities.
