Vonka is being kept prisoner in a man's basement, but he has decided that he does not want her to get too comfortable. He has set things up to place her a predicament where she has to support her weight on her wrists, unable to put her feet on the floor. Instead, she is forced to kneel, balanced on her knees. With all the weight pulling down on the ropes, Vonka cannot reach any of the knots or stand the slightest chance of freeing herself.
