Amber is one of those unfortunate women who find themselves in the middle of nowhere when their car breaks down. Because the area is remote from civilization, there is no cellphone coverage. The only way to summon help is to flag down a passing driver (but she hasn't seen another car in ages) or walk to the nearest house and ask to use their land-line. She turns up at a property at the end of a long, uneven driveway. It almost looks abandoned, but she knocks on the door anyway. When no one answers, she is about the leave when, on impulse, she tries the door knob. The door is unlocked. She walks inside, calling out "Hello?". Still nothing, so she goes deeper into the house. It is a big mistake. As chance would have it, the house is being burgled while the owners are away, and she has stumbled into a bad situation. A masked man comes up behind her and clamps a gloved hand over her mouth, warning her not to make a sound when he removes it. Amber immediately starts asking questions and the hand is clamped back over her mouth. The man plans to make her kneel down while he ties her up, but she elbows him in the stomach and makes a run for it. She gets as far as the door before he catches her and clamps a hand over her mouth again to stop her screaming for help. He drags her back inside and ties her up on the hallway steps, before she has a chance to try escaping again. Bound hand and foot, Amber is carried into the living room and seated on a chair. The burglar ties her to the chair, then stuffs a handkerchief into her mouth before gagging her with duct tape. After he leaves with his ill-gotten gains, Amber struggles to get free. She partially succeeds, but when we leave her her wrists and ankles are still secured tied, and the gag is still in her mouth.
