Amber discovers that she has won the lottery and has instantaneously become a millionairess. Her boyfriend is equally excited by the news, but Amber frowns at him as points out that she bought the ticket and that the winnings are hers. She chooses this moment to end their relationship, stating that she has been meaning to do this for some time. As Amber tries to leave with her lottery ticket to collect her winnings, her boyfriend grabs her and ties her up, planning to take the ticket himself, collect the money and leave the country. Amber protests that the ticket is hers, so the boyfriend pushes a cloth into her mouth and wraps duct tape around her head to keep her quiet. He seems to leave and Amber immediately begins struggling to free herself, but after just a few minutes the boyfriend returns, saying he is concerned that one of Amber's friends might show up and find her, and raise the alarm. He decides to drive her to his lock-up where there is a much smaller risk of her being discovered before he can make is escape with the money.
