1. Jasmine St James: The Archaeologist

Archaeologist Doctor Jasmine Croft receives a call from a collector of rare Egyptian artifacts who claims he has acquired a papyrus he would like her to translate for him. Jasmine agrees enthusiastically, happy to be getting out of her office for a while. When she sees the parchment, however, it is immediately apparent to her that it has been acquired by illegal means, taken from the very museum where she works. Jasmine attempts to raise the alarm but the collector interrupts her before she can finish the call - he sneaks up behind her and presses a cloth over her nose and mouth until she lies limp in his arms. When she recovers, Jasmine finds herself zip-tied to a chair. She calls for help and demands to be let go, but when she refuses to translate the hieroglyphs on the papyrus, the collector stuffs a cloth into her mouth and gags her with duct tape. Later, the collector drags Jasmine into the kitchen where he has filled a sink with water. He forces Jasmine's head under the water and holds it there, letting her up for air only to ask her to help him. When she keeps refusing, Jasmine receives repeated immersions.

Keri has designs on robbing the safe at her office since she is about to be fired. She learns from the colleagues that the one person who definitely knows the combination to the safe is Jamie, the boss's personal secretary. After work, Keri grabs Jamie and transports her to her home. We join the action as Keri lifts the bound Jamie from the back seat of her car and carries her inside the house. There, she begins interrogating the girl in an effort to get the code to the safe. Jamie claims to know nothing about it and sticks to her story however much Keri tries to intimidate her. Keri tries everything she can think of to make the girl talk, but in the end she has no choice but to resort to more drastic measures. She drags Jamie into the kitchen and begins dunking her head in a sink full of water, holding her head under for longer and longer periods until the girl is finally defeated him and gives up the combination. She thinks Keri will let her go now, but instead Keri takes her back to the living room and re-gags her, leaving her lying there still tied up and with her hair sopping wet.

3. Cadence Lux: The Contentious Inheritance

Cadence has inherited almost the entire, substantial estate of her late Uncle Mark. His brother David is to receive very little of the wealth and he is not at all happy about it. He has arranged for Cadence to visit and stay overnight so that they can carpool on the drive into the city the next day for the reading of the will. As soon as Cadence arrives, Dave tries to talk her into sharing some more of the money with him but Cadence refuses, telling him it's not personal, that she is just abiding by her Uncle Mark's wishes. Dave is not willing to let it go at that. He overpowers Cadence and ties her up, then dunks her head in a sink full of cold water, submerging her face again and again and forcing her to hold her breath. Still Cadence will not give in and sign over her inheritance.

They say that lightning doesn't strike twice in the same place, but Jasmine discovers this is not true. Having retrieved a stolen papyrus four years earlier from an archaeologist turned illegal collector of ancient Egyptian treasures, the papyrus has again been stolen from the museum where Jasmine works as curator. While the police feel they don't have enough evidence against the collector to apply for a warrant to search his home, Jasmine is convinced he is behind the most recent theft. Jasmine returns to the collector's house. She decides to look inside the sarcophagus standing in the corner. When she opens it, she triggers a trap - a jet of gas erupts from the lid, and moments later Jasmines lies comatose on the floor. When she wakes, she finds herself secured to a chair with plastic cuffs and zip ties. Now the collector wants details of the museum's security, and in order to extract them, he once again resorts to water torture by dunking Jasmine's head.
